Just found this on a UK Bus group on Facebook.

"WNO 481 is a former Eastern National (and later Eastern Counties) Bristol KSW5G, dating from 1953, and was used on Paul & Stella [!] McCartney's Wings tour of Europe in 1972. It survives, tucked away in a small ravine in the middle of a holiday park on Tenerife."

Apparently the current owner has had the bus since 1993 and has been repainted in the Wings colours, but it's currently dumped.

 

That bus needs to have some dust shaken off.

After it's useage by Wings the vehicle was used for other stuff, then returned to the Wings livery in the 1980's.

That just begs to be restored and displayed in a museum.
A beautiful bus and a great piece of Rock 'n' Roll history.

Well I witnessed a live show with Wings 1972 I guss. Maybe I should purchase this bus for old time sake. The good old hippie-days

And this is 1975, it appears to have been repainted a couple of times before it was returned to the Wings colours.

You would think with all the restoration shows in the U.S. someone would take this up as a televised project.

 

Can you imagine tooling down a motorway and seeing this to your left? How fun!

 

Cool! Fix it up. Get the Magical Mystery Tour bus and Kesey's Further together. Add in Lennon's Fool Rolls and some other cool cars Monkeemobile, ZZTop cars, and have a Rock n Roll car show.

That's actually a really different looking bus. Someone will scoop it up and restore. It doesn't look that bad to me at all. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I didn't read the article. Is it even for sale?

 

I was thinking of putting my bid on the bus, and putting all the Wingsmaniacs on it for a nice long drive...somewhere.
