Anyone recognize this picture?

A lot of people have seen them. They're Elizabeth Montgomery.

 

You should have been there the time we started watching a film in German class and one shot on the leader was a nude! Talk about an uproar!

 

They're both bewitching, that fer sure.

I find this intriguing because they both look quite familiar to me, especially the blonde, yet they still remain unidentified.

As for the women in the pic, I swear I've seen them before. I remember actors/actress, especially from the 60s and 70s, plus I watch a lot of commercials from the time. I know I've seen them, can't think where...

 

The blonde looks familiar to me, but in a very creepy kind of way. I was very young in the 60's (I was born in 1963), so I don't remember much from back then, but for some reason she does look familiar. Could she be known from some horror movie?

I know, I know...

I've been trying to go thru the teen and beach films in the list to see if I can get any closer, no luck so far.

 

I have convinced myself that the blond has appeared in a Twilight Zone episode.

 

Maybe it's no one. Just a local high school student interning or whatever asked to sit down for a lighting test.

The blonde does seem to have a large engagement ring. Perhaps someone's spouse?

If one could identify the background set, you might have a better shot figuring out what it is. It is interesting though.

To me, the brunette is the more familar face. The blonde, not at all. The brunette looks like someone who tended to play a secondary character's wife in any one of the popular early-to-mid 60's TV shows.

That's my input, and I'm sticking with it.

 

When I first saw the shot, my first thought was that the background set looked like one of the old-time black and white TV sitcoms. The generic looking set could fit in with any of those shows such as: The Honeymooners, I Love Lucy, Leave It To Beaver, Ozzie And Harriet, etc.

 

The blonde looks like Sue Lyon but it's probably not her

The clue that it's probably a movie is the fact that the image was anamorphically squeezed. Widescreen images in the '60s are surely from a motion picture and not a TV show.

I'm sorry, but these girls definately do not look like high school girls to me. They appear to me to be in their mid to late twenties. I hope I'm not missing something, but they look post-college age; regular working girls.

I don't think we can discount color films just because this frame is in black & white.

One clue is the printing on the sweater looks like it doesn't contrast enough with the background color. That would happen with say red printing on a blue background reduced to black & white. (Try reading red credits on a black & white TV set sometime!)

Another clue is that the film that this is attached to, the pilot film for the TV series VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA was filmed in color, but broadcast in black & white.

So this could easily be from a color movie.
