    Re: Matrix Reloaded IMAX version

    Mike,

Thanks for the list. I gotta wonder though...why in the h**l they would show it in an IMAX out in the toolies (Langley) when they have a perfectly great IMAX theatre in downtown Vancouver. Sheesh!

We have here the biggest IMAX theatre in Europe, but I've never heard about a MATRIX version for IMAX. What's the difference between the "normal" movie.

I'd heard that the Imax version of Matrix was *not* edited. Apparently, Star Wars was edited down to two hours because (at the time) that was the longest film they could show with an Imax projector (something to do with reel length i believe). Anyway, they've since addressed this problem and can now show longer films such as the unedited Matrix. (Ironically, I probably would have enjoyed Reloaded more if it was shorter... maybe 45 minutes or so. ;))

  4. Don't know the specifics Claus, but my understanding is that this new version was "digitally enhanced" whatever that means. The movie did not fill up the entire screen as Star Wars did. It was like watching a very large wide screen movie.
