With Ernest Borgnine, William Shatner, and John Travolta. It's the worst! Borgnine is a satanic cult leader who turns into a laughable goat-like demon. Shatner gets his eyes poked out with red hot spikes. Travolta looks so bored that he's about to fall asleep. The plot is so incoherent that it barely even registers. Some cute satanic acolytes make the viewing bearable. Barely.

You need to! Borgnine trying to remain serious while reading from the Satanic Bible is a hoot! What is Borgnine attemping to do during this spell-casting session? Who knows?!?! As I said, the plot is a bit tenuous. Ah hell, the plot is so full of holes it leaks like a sieve. :)

I own the DVD! Shatner AND Borgnine??? How could I not!!! Its not the greatest film ever made but it has its moments. Satanic fun!

I own it as well. My pals and I periodically have Bad Movie Night and this one is a perennial favorite.

Seek out "Impulse", also starring Shatner. It has to be seen to be believed.

I like bad movies like this. When Borgnine changes into the demon, man that rocks! He plays a great demon. What casting, what acting, what.......the heck!:D

LOL! I was just stunned by its awfulness the first time I saw it. I grabbed the remote and immediately watched it again. Yeah, I'm so happy this kind of movie exists.

Shatner is great in this movie. But his swan song is of course....

What a weird movie. All the veteran actors/actresses are in this. I wonder if Black Sabbath watched it?

Sounds like someone should do a "Weird Al" version of the CCR tune!
But, yes... I saw this, on regular TV, when I was quite young...

From the makers of Planet of the Apes, that was a tag on Television commercials from the Devils Rain.
Ofcourse I went to see it at the Regent Theater in Bayshore NY. My father and I had great time laughing and enjoyed the camp anf myriad stars who were in it.
Ernest Borgnine, Wiliam Shatner, Tom Skeritt, Ida Lupino, John Travolta and many more A, B, and C actors.
Double feature with a Planet of the Apes sequel I forget which.
During the working week the Regent theater was a porn movie house and weekends it played movies like the Devils Rain.
    Take care, John M.

Yeah, I’ve seen it. John Travolta’s very first movie role! This would be perfect for Mystery Science Theater

I was wondering if rifftrax has done it, I don't think so

  24. Never seen it, but for whatever reason it makes me think of The Brotherhood of Satan, a low-budget horror film from a few years earlier that starred Strother Martin, LQ Jones, and The Fake Jan. I found it ridiculously cheap and cheesy as a 13 year old, but thought it was an effective li’l chiller that made some clever use of its limited budget as a 35 year old.
