I lucked out on two of those - I found the Big Time CD single in a Zurich shop a year ago for 5 or 6 euros and the Eldorado EP CD in Reading for £5. Both mint.
'home on the range' is from the movie 'where the buffalo roam'. i don't think, but i'm also not sure, that the soundtrack has ever been released on CD anywhere in the world.
I got 'Where the Buffalo Roam' on LP when it came out, managed to get a Bootleg of it as a double back with Time Fades Away from ebay for around £12/£15 a couple of years ago, on the ''REDONE RECORDS' label
With all the publicity around the Archives 2 and potential upcoming NYA releases, it brought to mind an article in Record Collector Magazine back in the early 1990's about the (then) rumoured Archives release. The article ran through a hypothetical (9 discs maybe) tracklist, (and definitely included Sweet Joni and the Man Needs A Maid / Heart Of Gold Suite from Massey Hall, both now released of course) but I would be interested from this viewpoint to see what else was predicted. Does anyone happen to have the article? If so, how does the prediction compare with what is now officially available?
I used to have that LP. Did not know it never came out on CD. I have both Eldorado & the Big Time single with Interstate on it. Weird - so at one time I had 3 of the rarities mentioned (only 2 now).
no, the westwood one rarities on compact disc #17 is a legit CD as far as i know. westwood one had released a whole bunch of these back in the day, but the neil young is the only one i ever got. now, were they an the up and up by releasing these.....i do not know, but i'm sure that someone here will know a whole lot more than me.
another neil young rarity: 'sittin on the dock of the bay' w/booker t. and the mg's - can only be found on the booker t. box set 'time is tight' and nowhere else as far as i know.
He finally wrote some lyrics for The Emperor of Wyoming. I've had this on tape for years along with Beautiful Bluebird and a song about his brother getting jailed. I think they see recorded in Nashville in 1985, he'll have plenty of outtakes for Archives Vol. 4. I got RAW from her site a few months ago. Seems they've taken the shop down but it would be worth contacting them to ask is they have stock left. Contact/Shop
Double-sided poster for a Neil Young and Crazy Horse gig, Contra Costa College, San Pablo, CA, March 13, 1970.
Just saw a video on FB of Neil wandering the streets of Glasgow years ago and at one point he is sitting on the street playing and people are tossing money into his guitar cash. He was wearing a "Sherlock Holmes" style hat.

Random Neil question: Does anyone know if there are any photos "out there" from any of the On the Beach recording sessions? There is nothing in the NYA vol 2 book but it got me thinking that it would be interesting to see some pics of Neil with Rusty Kershaw.
And Mike McCready is on about half of the tracks on lead guitar! Haven't listened yet but intend to soon.
I met the artist who did that painting -- in fact he was a family friend of my parents so I have been to his house and seen many of his other works. I don't recall if he still had the original painting in his possession or not. I think he did, I seem to recall seeing it on the wall at his house. Or maybe it was the album itself...? It's been a while. He passed away about 10 years ago.
OK - since it has been mentioned here on the last few pages, I am now listening to Are You Passionate? Probably haven't played it since it was new (ish). Bringing back some memories of that time period. Of course 9/11 was still a recent event, and apparently Let's Roll was inspired by some of the events that happened that day. The guitar riff on that tune reminds me of Fame by David Bowie! ha! As mentioned, You're My Girl and Differently are both good tunes. Goin' Home has that kind of "anthemic" thing going for it. Translated well in the live setting. We used to have some fun with that one at the Rust Fest jams at the OPL.... back in the days that used to be....
