For those of us not familiar with the artists, can you recommend any specific titles?

    Thanks!

I sampled all 5 Blues titles and all of them appealed to me. Ordered them all.

There are some older "Honeyboy Edwards" threads in Music Corner. He was one of the originals from that era and knew Robert Johnson.

That Gruber on BIS is tasty. $10 but worth it to me. Thanks!

Maybe it's the power of this forum? I clicked the link to check out the selection and cannot get store.acousticsounds.com to load, even if I take off the rest of the URL.

Bill Elgart "A Life" is there for $5 - kind of weird album but interesting if you can take just percussion for an hour. The recording itself is fantastic, really beautiful.

The Wild Child Butler SACD is great, worth a try for anyone at only $5

Wish the Hendrix was out, so I could get the free ship at $49.

Added Lucky Wilbury for free shipping.

Jimmie Lee Robinson: Nice low key Chicago blues album complemented by harmonica player Madison Slim.
Harry Hypolite: Louisiana Swamp Blues. Nice, laid back foot tapping groove. Gravelly but soothing voice. Hints of Zydeco.
Honeyboy Edwards: Recorded when he was around 85 years old so don't expect a powerful performance. On the other hand, voice and guitar playing are very steady, this is a talented dude. It's a well done set of 14 tunes complemented again by Madison Slim on harmonica, plus an interview. Mastered by Kevin Gray.
George "Wild Child" Butler: Very very good blues singer and harmonica player. 13 enjoyable tracks with native Chicago guitarists Jimmy Lane & Jimmie Lee Robinson. Just an enjoyable set.
Henry Townsend: Delta Blues original which I haven't explored yet (but looking foward to).

Best $54.98 I spent all year.
