The Capitol "Closer To Home" also has a cool "false start" snippet at the beginning. The sound quality is also much better than the regular CDs, some of which are horrible ("Closer To Home" is one of them).

All in all, I still prefer the Japan versions, though. If you compare "Inside Looking Out", for example, the Japan CD has a wider stereo image. The vocals also sound less harsh on the Japan CDs.

I was thinking of hunting down the Japan Raspberries, as I have the Capitol collection and was looking to upgrade. Maybe I should reconsider...

    DOB,

Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Japanese Raspberries CDs. If you are looking for Raspberries CDs, try the two-fers that RPM Records released in the UK several years ago. I have a friend that is a huge Eric Carmen fan and he can't stand the sound of the Japanese CDs; and he isn't really very picky about sound quality!!

Thanks for the advice - the Japan Raspberries don't go for cheap!
