    A continuation of my previous post...

    When the 5 Royales were recording for Apollo Records 1952 to early 1954 before going to King Records in 1954 the backup group on those Apollo sides was Charlie "Little Jazz" Ferguson & His Orchestra...

    Charlie Ferguson was not only a great band leader but a great musician whose choice instrument was sax...

    So the first 14 suggestions on this list come from those sessions while the last 4 come from obscure Doo-Wop artists of the late 50s - early 60s which no data can be found on the backing band for those recordings...
