  1. They did do and release a live version of “Tomorrow Never Knows”.

if Free As A Bird counts Ade covered that as a member of KC.

    S*** I forgot that one ! :)
I remembered Free as a bird but that was Ade's solo spot, and it was before the Beatles version was released. So it was technically a cover of Lennon solo.

I don't sing Genesis ever covered a Beatles song, but they did release their 1982 EP 3x3 and their 1986 single "Land Of Confusion" with covers inspired on Beatles album covers:

  13. Yeah I remember hearing it at one show. It was odd because Ade does release it 0n his solo album (or one of them) and none of the other Kc members play on it but I was spirited it wasn’t on that live album.

I remember they did John's 'Imagine' in concerts a couple times in 1981. Don't know if recordings of that exist though.

No clue about Beatles covers during their fame time, but maybe in the very early days...
There's a recording of Freddie in his old band Wreckage (or Ibex) from 1969 where they performed 'Rain' live.

What songs have been officially released by Queen that aren't self-penned?

There's a bootleg version of Imagine out there.

There's a poor quality recording of Imagine on YouTube, or at least there was. I wasn't aware of Rain by Wreckage. Nice one!

Only God Save The Queen on A Night The Opera and that's more a closing theme than a song. It's something that's often overlooked with Queen, very few rock bands from their era didn't do covers on their studio albums. There's a rock n' roll medley on the Live at Wembley album though, but it was released later on.
