Would love to see one for smashing Pumpkins or soundgarden.

They gave a number of reasons for the title untitled #23, but one of them was it being the 23rd album. So going by that, we could get a box set with:
This leaves off Sing-Songs/Remote Luxury/Persia, Somewhere Else, Bastard Universe, and all the singles, plus one or two more that I'm forgetting. And that doesn't even include any compilations... we'd need a separate singles box for all the B-sides and stuff too!

No artist should. Why would you want to buy the same stuff you already have in your collections? Some of these things are $300. Save your money.

Talking Heads' Brick - The studio albums as is and the extra tracks on separate LPs. Also, the live albums ("The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads" and "Stop Making Sense" (same tracks as the DVD, including the bonus songs).

And on that note, I am officially unsubscribing from this thread.

Hey, my bad. I wasn’t trying to ruin the thread for anyone; I was just trying to be silly and I misfired. My apologies.

There was a Jerry Lee Lewis Smash/Mercury set back in the vinyl days that ran to three huge boxes.

Id be very happy to have a nice box of them all remastered on CD, or in 5.1 on Blu-ray. Perhaps thats just me :)

I'd settle for just a reissue of Straight Up! 'Course, I got a nice US original for $35 over the summer, but still...

I’d get a well mastered Judas Priest set on vinyl as well as the singles collection.

Not so much an artist, but I'd be tempted by a well mastered set of 1950s Contemporary Records recorded by Roy DuNann. A complete set would be large and expensive, however.

I've never bought one of these lavish (and lavish price too) box sets, just the CD sets by the Monkees and Simon & Garfunkel as I didn't have all the albums and they were very affordable. I'm a vinyl fan so the Kinks mono box is very tempting, AAA at a reasonable price for albums that would be difficult to find in mint condition otherwise.

Has been done. Very expensive but I'm thrilled to own it. With an extra disc with some rare stuff. No unreleased stuff but that isn't happening as the band has said nothing further is suitable for release.
