Elton John. That would be one mammoth box.

Actually I was just wondering how much Blind Faith stuff is in the vaults. Surely some live dates were recorded, and I do seem to recall a CD of their album with a couple of bonus tracks. Any studio jams like the ones on the Layla box?

    David Ackles
    It's A Beautiful Day
(All of their albums and whatever unreleased material that could be unearthed. I know David Ackles had stuff in the vaults, but how well would any of them sell? They would almost have to be released on an indie label that could make a profit without going platinum.)

There was a Deluxe Edition. Blind Faith (2) - Blind Faith
The jams are truly abysmal (imo).

  6. The first act that immediately came to mind is Emmylou Harris. I think she's been on several different labels by this point, which would make it difficult. The Cowboy Junkies are another possibility.

Would love a complete Manheim Steamroller vinyl release of the Fresh Air series (1-8) .Years ago they released volumes 1-4 in a nice set (which I have) and a cd set of 1-8 (which I have) but never the complete set on vinyl.

I would be in for a Van Morrison box set.

Gene Clark would be nice although most of his albums are in print again.

Lastly Ringo Starr Apple Years would be a welcome addition to my collection.

Somehow I missed that one. Is there any live Blind Faith out there?

i would not have a problem with any band doing this however i have 2 very big items that cannot occur:

1 - no bonus material - it is simply unfair to the loyal fans to include bonus material on box sets when the loyal fans already have everything on the set. they supported you the first time around, don't f**l em with a big box that includes a few songs they don't already have. nothing irks me more than that. worse than re-releasing an album that is only a year or two old and putting one new tune on it.

2 - if, and very big if, if they do choose to include bonus material in said box set, they MUST make the bonus material available separately to those same loyal fans, so they do not have shell the big bucks for the box set that includes 90% of stuff they already have.

I'm guessing that Harris would block the inclusion of Gliding Bird.

There are few bands that should do this, I can think of. Simply, most bands have got at least 50% miss rate by the time they have been around for an extended period. A box full of bloat-ware does not appeal to me. And I think, even the consistently good Pere Ubu understood the problem of boxsets when they released a series of smaller box sets that fans can dip in and out of depending on tastes and interests.

Hehe. This would be a hard one to pull off. Has anyone managed to count the collected releases of Sun Ra, let alone arrange them all together in one room at the same time? I think such an event would coincide with some huge and cosmological event triggering a series of inexplicable and mysterious consequences.
