Attorneys for Metallica Targetting Ebay Sellers That Have Metallica Merchandise?

Hi! Im new here and Im sorry for this been my first post, but I had a Metallica Steve Hoffman CD on ebay GSZ-1136 and I think either we are been targeted by a scammer or by an attorney that claims that they are in fact attorneys for metallica. We sell videogames, and a few years ago we came across a 24k Gold CD Factory Sealed of Metallica Ride The Lightning, it was inside a box with videogames that a lady brought for trade in, I been a Metallica fan accepted it and later found out it was a rare collector piece and that it had "at the time" sold listings on ebay for about $200 (this was a few years ago), so I placed it on sale on ebay of course! and up till now and it never sold. The 21st o November we receive a Phishy message on ebay from a 0 feedback user, it was in chinese and had a bad translation, and it read "AD: We found in U.S. Court webstie that you have a case of METALLICA, a California general partnership, Case No. 19-cv-06915, US Licensed Lawyer Jeffrey Stewart Firestone offer settle or appearing, we already help several sellers to recovery their store and PayPal/Alipay account. please add Wechart ID: MA75538 for detail information,free advice,thx." At first I didnt pay attention cause its obviously a scam, but when I verified my PAYPAL account was LOCKED! I could not access my money, I called Paypal and with a rude attitude they told me to contact "[email protected]" because I had a legal issue. I was confused! Because ebay did not cancel my Metallica listing, I Called Ebay and they told me that my account was clean. SO this is very very fishy! How can PAYPAL accept an email from some guy that claims that we have a Legal issue and at the same time a chinese guy sends me a message on ebay about a case number that does not have anything to do with me. Its insane and I dont know what to do I had to close my listings until I get my paypal account back, but anyways my main concern is, IS THIS CD A FAKE? how can I prove this is not a fake or is this cd released at its time without the consent of metallica?? Im not an expert, and the cd is in my possesion I never sold it. Ive searched this VOGT IP guy and it seems he was involved in some legal issues about Intellectual Properties for Iron Maiden and other companies making chinese stores close and stuff like that, but my store is a videogame store and weve been in business in Puerto Rico since 1999... any help tips advise? thanks

 

When you can, just relist it and be absolutely sure that you set the listing to United States shipping only.

And make sure you block that user first.

 

It sounds like a scammer to me Ramon. That CD looks like the real deal to me. The attorney in question is in fact a practicing attorney in the USA, but that means nothing. Here's his info. but I would just ignore it until eBay says it's an issue.

Thanks for the replies, I would list the item again but the problem here is my paypal account is LOCKED because Paypal thinks the email they received is the real deal and will not release my account! without my account I cant sell items on ebay because I can't withdraw money from paypal, they infact can keep collecting money from my sales and I already have $1000 that I cannot withdraw or use in my paypal account they got me cornered

 

So the CD in question was released with authorization from metallica? Im looking for reasons why a real lawyer that seems to do these type of things would target me.
