Audio Fidelity delayed gold CDs

Anyone else get this email? it says Yes and Elton John coming soon!

Due to the high demand and the cost of gold, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to get our 24K titles released on a consistent basis.

We have had to change our street dates several times to accommodate our manufacturing plant receiving its gold shipments in a timely manner.

We regret that!

We have some great artists waiting in the wings: Mike & The Mechanics, Dio, Janis Joplin's Big Brother & The Holding Company, Joe Walsh, Yes, and Elton John, to name a few. We are just waiting for the stage coach with the gold shipment to arrive. Then we will be bringing these artists to you, as well as so many more of your favorites.

We wanted to share with you the reasons for the delays and the changes in the street dates. We appreciate your patience and support.

I have to ask, since a quick glance at the AF website didn't reveal it, which Yes album is on deck? Thanks!

Why not just do SACDs instead of gold CDs?

 

Inconvenient and barely (if at all) audible sonic improvement? Unless you want surround which I agree would be great.

I'm just curious - have these delays and changed dates already taken place, or are there new delays? I have a pre-order pending.
