    Yes, Austria.

We've had the Japanese vs. the Tawainese debates but I bought some Sony CD-Rs made in Austria. Anyone know where they stand, as far as quality and archival use?

Never used them, but Sony's DADC plant in Austria has been there for ages:)... should be good quality blanks.

    Michael I LOVE WIDE S-T-E-R-E-O!

...the same as every other brand.:) The only difference between CDR's is the archival quality or damage control, such as an extra protective coating...I'm still waiting for an explanation why the cheap crappy PRINCO CDR's will play on my Toshiba SD-3109, while no other brand will even cue up...The player is NOT supposed to play any CDR's...I called PRINCO...they had no answer?

I've never heard of blanks made in Europe. I bought them out of curiosity.

I think the ones made of Austrian corn sound better than the ones made of Japanese corn... :D
