Missed both the cd and vinyl box first time around, and don't want to pay going prices for them now. But have a lot of stuff so it's not really a problem.
Wouldn't matter. As Steve himself believes, it's all in the mastering. And I'll add the recording to that. Get the right mic and place it well. Plus the CD box has everything they did up to its publication. Did you get the Corbett Vs Dempsey Incipient ICP? Lovely Breuker compositions on the second disc and overall terrific as well.
Yup I got the CvD. I prefer vinyl but will get the cd when necessary. A 50 cd box is a bit much for me, but maybe one day I'll change my mind.
Schlippenbach Trio Compression: Live at Total Music Meeting 2002 (a/l/l) Normally, I don't care for digital compression.
It’s really incredible… I just picked up her more recent album but haven’t given it a proper listen yet.
Incendiary! In some way Emily's style reminds me of Elisa Ambrogio whose guitar playing blew me off at Six Organs of Admittance's gig back in 2010.
Vinyl surprisingly showed up today! Wasn't expecting for at least a month. Just your standard incredible Rempis blow out with great accompaniment by Ra. Bennu | Aerophonic Records
Wow that's super early... The "pre order" isn't supposed to be until December 7. I'll pick up the digital when it comes out, for sure.
Dave likes me Maybe the plant got them done early and sent them out directly? But it's a nice surprise. Really great record.
Artifacts - ...and then there's this 2021, Astral Spirits Nicole Mitchell – flute, electronics Tomeka Reid – cello Mike Reed – drums, percussion This is excellent... The sound goes from funky and upbeat to deliberate and unsettling, then back again. There's an incredibly catchy hip hop beat to the last track that comes out of nowhere. Awesome!
Anthony Braxton Quartet (Dortmund) 1976 2001, hatOLOGY First listen, pretty awesome... Thanks @Dahabenzapple for the recommendation.
Kuzu - All Your Ghosts In One Corner 2021, Aerophonic Records Dave Rempis – alto/tenor/bari saxophone Tashi Dorji – guitar Tyler Damon – drums
