If an announcement is imminent, then what better day than 09.09 (tomorrow) to make it? Apple loves that date and it would be cool if they make it an annual event!

Why do they love that day? Shouldn't they be more enamored with the following day?

It was very important for that space to be left available for non-info that's not being released about something that may or may not exist.

    Very. Important.

...and about 5 fellow members will do their best to convince him he really does like it and just doesn't realize it. There may be exclamation marks involved.

Maybe if the number 8 rumor is real, Paul has chosen his personal 8 favorite albums from across his career to re-release on colored vinyl (both individually and as a set), each with a few never before released bonus tracks or remixes ?

    I'd take these 8:

    McCartney
    Ram
    Band on the Run
    Venus and Mars
    McCartney II
    Tug of War
    Flaming Pie
Chaos and Creation in the Backyard

As mentioned in the other thread:

One of the clues was: "13,12,10,13,11,11,12," ---

So if my code-cracking skills were correct, then we should expect 8 albums with 13, 12, 10, 13, 11, 11, 12, and 11 songs, respectively:

    13: McCartney
    12: Ram
10: Band On Run (with Helen Wheels)
    13: Venus & Mars
    11: Speed Of Sound
    11: McCartney II
    12: Tug Of War
    11: Pipes Of Peace

NO BONUS TRACKS! --- So we are getting straight reissues of the previous Archive sets (in 3 physical formats---BUT no box set, as that was ruled out by an insider). Note also that Wings Over America is NOT included.

    But no official confirmation yet.

Having moaned about its absence, now that it's here I guess I should post something inane in it. Can't wait for Macca's new album. Any news? Rumours or speculation you'd like to post here while we wait for a formal announcement of the non-new album upcoming releases? I'm sure no-one would mind the cross-polination of threads.

But is there a flaw in your code-cracking skills? The 2010 reissue seemed to make it clear that Paul views Helen Wheels as a bonus track. The UK release without it is viewed as "Canon". It seems highly unlikely he would include it this time around but give the other reissues no bonus tracks. Hmmm...

You would be wrong. This thread was created so we couldn't talk about the reissues on the new album thread. We were KICKED OFF.:) Anyhoo, they wanted to stay on topic over there so you might want to check it out.

Capitol in the USA has always considered "Helen Wheels" as part of the album. So I think that it will be reinstated.

Plus you are applying logic. But when dealing with MPL, you must not think logically. Illogical thought is the key to MPL's comprehensive plan. ;)

Me too. A fun album, top 5 for sure. Not over produced. Don't think he can do anything like Bip Bop anymore.

Could these be Black Friday Record Store Day releases?

You are still thinking too logically. Be illogical: For example: Could these be Columbus Day releases?

See: Doesn't that seem more in line with how MPL thinks? ;)

If the color of vinyl is the part of this release that will stand out, then it's quite a sad commentary on the release as a whole. Like a cheesy TV infomercial. ;-)

So I have to follow two threads now? Oh well gives me more things to do to procrastinate from my real responsibilities ;)

Edit: oh wow I guess I'll stay over here. The haters are really coming out of the woodwork on the other thread.
