Back catalogue releases related to McCartney's 2016 move back to Capitol - First releases announced*

But people have already bought those albums, multiple times. There's no reason for this. (Also no way his stuff ever comes out on SACD. The hi-res downloads sound really nice though)

Well the only way Paul McCartney will part me with my money at this stage is to release an SACD box.

 

You'll have a lot of extra money then. I don't see him licensing albums to Mofi or AF that would compete with the archive series. But at least said series has hi-res versions available, so you have that.

 

if mikecarrera and maccawings are true (I neither think they are or they aren't, I'm neutral at this point of the rumors), this is my guess:

a collection of Paul's solo and Wings albums released on Capitol, albums released on CD and vinyl, imitating the original records artwork (just as Beatles Mono Box, but not in box)

 

I don't think it is The Capital Years. The first albums came out for Apple, and from "Back to The Egg" on Columbia.
If the Archive series will continue, we will not see London Town, which was released on Capital.
It's the only Capitol album not released in the Archive series.

If someone giving clues bothers you, don't read this thread until an official announcement. It's easy. Most of us are enjoying this.

It s always fin about clues concerning rereleade
of old album in different formats like coloured vinyl(wink,wink).
However - some of us obviosly feel this I know something you don t-game on occasion can be annoying.

No reason to keep that a secret..

 

I have a great idea for a teaser campaign. What about removing one of the red pieces that are blocking the info on the picture each week (or each day if the announcement is coming soon). Now that would be fun!
