Dylan's version of The Boxer is supposed to be bad. He wasn't happy with S&Gs version of The Times They Are A Changin', or at least that is what the "legend" says.

 

Because i wanted to

 

We can all think of great covers, like Hendrix doing All Along Tbe Watchtower or The Stranglers' version of Walk On By...but how about lousy cover versions? Post your bad apples here.

A friend played me a vanity press 45 of some local 1970s Midwest hard rock outfit
covering Led Zepplin's "Four Sticks". When the singer entered, hilarity ensued for us.

 

I think that Bob Dylan's cover of "The Boxer" on Self Portrait is so bad it's almost good. And it's always good for some laughs.

 

M'lud I present as exhibit "A" Elaine Paige and her reading of Elton John's Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word. This version, both musically and vocally, makes me feel somewhat bilious.
