To anyone who has listened to both of these versions, which do you prefer and why? Thanks.

    I enjoy both!

Really was grateful DCC actually licensed and released 2 Badfinger albums Remastered for Gold CD's and Steve was involved!

Still love hearing this album, the Apple Remaster in 2010 was done from a generation less tape, i enjoy it too!

Hey my Ultimate dream is Steve would have worked on those 2 Warner Brothers albums before Audio Fidelity ended business.

I have both Gold Discs. They sell for > $100 each now.

Mine have both been autographed by Joey Molland, so I could probably sell them for about $1.25.

I am putting my DCC up for sale this week. I have two.

  10. I prefer the Apple remaster better source tape however I do wish that they had done mastering moves similar to Steve's with more dynamics.

I have both the DCC's and the 2010 Apple's and like them both. I play the DCC's on my home systems and the 2010's in my car. That way I can justify keeping both. :)

That's my understanding here-a better source tape-but, a better mastering? This I'm curious to hear from more members that have both.So far some want to "sell" their DCCs,some have kept both for listening pleasure.Since I have the DCC now, I guess I will buy the Apple to check it out.

  13. I sold my DCC some time back. The mastering isn’t quite as good as there is some mild compression. The difference in source adds a profound difference 8n enjoyment IMHO but, again, I do wish they had just left all the dynamics in tact and done the mastering using the same moves as Steve did. I went through a cull some years back and had to make a choice. If you can do both, it’s worth it but, if not, the more common Apple remaster isn’t a bad choice.
