Agree to disagree i guess. I thought Final Cut was great. Always thought of it as the great overlooled Floyd album

The Cars - From Candy O to Panorama

They did bounce back after that, but never quite to the level of the first two albums.

It may be an minority opinion but I was disappointed by the drop off between McCartney's Chaos and Creation, and Memory Almost Full.

To me KC only became better with each successive album until The Dream Line-Up arrived in 1973.

But then they got awesome again on Washing Machine. Personally, I thought Dirty was a step down from Goo, but Washing Machine was a great return to form for the band.
Some say that the falling off came after Animals, or Wish You Were Here, or Meddle or Piper. . .

    and "Those Shoes" !

I love Panorama ! A few weeks before 10th grade started, I bought the new cassette at Woolworth's and listened to it as soon as I got home .... Then called my buddy and played the title track to him over the phone -- I thought the vocoder was so cool !

a.k.a. .... Don't you know what the Michelob can do ?

So going from a Roger Waters solo album to a Pink Floyd album without Roger Waters. Comparing apples and battleships.

Agreed. The Final Cut was a dumpster fire of an album. We get it Roger, you don’t like that bus stop rat bag. No need to take it out on The Floyd’s fans and release the worst album in the “catalog.” Which again, the Final Cut was nothing more than a Waters solo album.

I think they were both awful. Pretentious beyond what I could stand.

So Roger, your father died in the war...did I get that right???

Yea me too. Fly from here was the first really great Yes album in a LONG time, then of course they messed with the lineup and put out a crappy follow up. I love Yes but they can be inconsistent.

Noticeable drop off between Piper at the Gates of Dawn and The Madcap Laughs.

uh, i would listen to 'a momentary lapse of reason" 500 times rather than hear 'the final cut' even once. it just might be more boring and mundane than any roger waters solo album.

'heartbeat city', which came after 'panorama' might just be their best overall effort....right up there with the s/t first album.
