Mostly for reference to what musical connection it makes. It was very conducive for me for many years.

    Threshold S/300 II power amplifier

The 1981 Honda Civic hatchback that had a Nakamichi and a/d/s/ car stereo system. We installed it when the car was new. Back in the hatch was a 10" a/d/s/ subwoofer driver, mounted in a box we built. It was the first time I owned a sub/amp/active crossover combo in a car and only the second time I'd seen a sub box in a car outside of a trade show. A pretty advanced car stereo for the time, it kicked ass. I loved driving that car, plus it got around 35 MPG.

For a hundred bucks. It worked perfectly fine. I even threw in an extra headshell and cart (Stanton).

Not really sold but gave my Dad my Polk SDA CRS+ speakers. He loves them and they fit perfect where he wants them so it’s actually a good thing. :)

I did give the matching stands away long ago though...ugh.

1978 Les Paul Deluxe, bought in 1982? for $400 ... sold in 1994 or so ... for $400 ... it was probably worth $800 then ... 1978 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Electric Guitar Wine Red w/HSC x8576 (USED) for sale online a little more now.

I bought it at Guitar Center in Costa Mesa or somewhere in that area, the previous owner had hogged out the pickup area and put some Seymour Duncan '57 zebras in there. So probably not worth $2400 now, but it was a cool toned guitar, wish I still had it. I bought my Dynaco SCA-35 tube integrated amp and a new 28.8 kilobaud modem with the proceeds. I did enjoy the SCA-35 for about 12 years and it cost me $100, so not too bad.

Does it count if you threw them away with what were very minor issues?

Teac X1000r reel to reel - capstan belt
JVC (Victor) A-X9 - Integrated / T-X6 Tuner - dirty switches and pots
Infinity Reference Standard 1.5 speakers - rotted surrounds
Philips GA312 turntable - gave away after upgrade
Shure V15 type IV - just wasn't using it any more

the list goes on and on, but these are thee ones that really hurt now!

An MFA luminescence preamp. It was the best sounding preamp I ever owned, but I became frustrated with its lack of inputs and the fact that I was having difficulty repairing it at the time. So I sold it.

Spendor SP1/2e's. Falcon LS3/5a's. My Exposure integrated. My first pair of original Quads. P3ESR's - twice.

And the biggest of all... I had a pair of PMC 'Signature' towers. I should have kept those and stopped right there.

I gave my low power Sansui 661 receiver I had from college to my father when I bought a monster 120w/ channel JVC JR-S501 Receiver

I then gave the JVC to a friend for his basement rec room when I went to a Marantz 5.1 HT setup.

Both worked perfectly but ended up getting tossed by my father and friend which breaks my heart now.

No regrets comes to mind. By the time I've sold anything, including audio gear, I've usually given it a lot of thought. And everything I've sold can be reacquired.

The only component I truly regret selling (and there have been a lot I've sold) is a McCormack TLC-1 with a built-in phono stage. It's even more maddening now since I have a separate Mod Squad phono stage and McCormack RLD-1. It would just be nice to consolidate two boxes, because they were fantastic in one package.

But, at least I was able to recreate what I had, just in two pieces, instead of one.

Ya know, I can't think of anything I sold and SUPER regret. How good! Stuff like my uncle's quad reel-to-reel and tapes and quad headphones, my Celestion 100s, my vinyl...all has gone to good homes.

Lemme tell ya, having spent what is the LAST weekend in Vegas still cleaning out stuff at my uncle's:
    IT'S ONLY STUFF
DON'T GIVE A *bleep* ABOUT IT
