Not a clue about vinyl deals. I just looked for CDs!

Though when I browsed calendars, I found a vinyl copy of "Revolver" in that display. I thought "cool - a 'Revolver' calendar!!!" and then realized it was a stupid vinyl version! :D

That was super helpful. Thanks for posting.
It lead me to a nearby store where I bought the 3LP Buckley set for $15, the Chris Bellman etched 2 LP set of Springsteen's High Hopes ($16) which I wanted, and no other store in the area had I seen it at, as well as the mono Love debut for $11 or so and the Hoffman, Gray vinyl of Bayou Country for $11.

Ha! He has so many albums that nobody wants...although I suppose he's better on record than on DVD -- that way you don't have to look at his awful guitar faces.

Again, apologies for the spelling! If you need more clarification I will try and help. If there is anything you want I would not hang around as the sale has been a huge hit and things will sell out. I did buy another album today which was The Who's "50 Hits" that I got another store to send to mine. The great thing about buying things in Oregon is there is no sales tax! Going to go and rest my hands - not used to all this typing!

Opening all these purchases though reminds me of just how spotty and terrible modern vinyl pressings can be. They’re mostly fine but you get the usual sleeve scuffs, handprints, dirty vinyl surfaces, scratches etc. worst of all though is that inside three on the last track of the garbage album there are bubbles/scratch defects in the vinyl that caused tics during the last half of the song. I was afraid they would cause skips but thankfully they didn’t.

As far as special ordering is concerned I take it this is like their 40% off Blu-ray sale where the online listing doesn’t reflect the sale price and the only way to get it is through a store to home order and hope it comes up sale price in the inventory system?

I was able to track down the Grateful Dead Shrine '67 set using the Check Nearby Stores on the website and called the store to have them verify it was in stock and also 50% off so I had them hold it for me. Had to check out what they had in the bins. This B&N sale is really helping me finish off my Alice Cooper reissue collection. I'm only missing Special Forces and Greatest Hits. Was thrilled to see Pearl Jam "Riot Act" (has the s/t Avocodo album been spotted in this sale?) and Endless River. Think I'm only missing Momentary Lapse now which they had but at full price. They had Lou Reed's "Transformer" but it was not stickered in the regular bin so I had them scan to double check, but no go.

Thumbs Up on the blue vinyl for Forever Blue. Got a quiet pressing, nice sound. Ditto Late For The Sky. Ditto High Hopes with the vinyl but the sound of it to my ears was still more on the too harsh, smashed or cold side. I thought a few tracks sounded better than others but overall, eh.

Reading more reviews about some of the pressings and sound would be great too.
Wondering about that Fogerty remaster on blue vinyl. Trying to leave it on the shelves as I've had some greedy hands with this sale!

You are correct. The only way to get it at sale price is to get it from a store - the online price does not reflect the sale price. If an album is on sale it will show on the instore computer before you place your order and will be the price that you pay.

I bought the zodiac cosmic sounds for $9. I wanted to get the first Love album too but it wasn’t there.

Doesn’t seem like my 10% membership discount applied to my purchase I noticed.

I know at the store I work at we were told that the membership doesn't work in this sale and none of my purchases have worked. However if you do order anything to your home they will give you the free shipping with your membership (which I've really taken advantage of!).

If you do want the Love album you can go to your local store and see if there are copies in the warehouse or ask them to look at the other stores in the USA and get them to manifest the album to your store.

I had that exact same Dusty LP in my hands last Sat but ended up not getting it because I wasn’t sure of the quality of that particular pressing.

If you find you develop a persistent cough and runny nose, it wasn’t me. Really. I swear, I’ve felt great. No symptoms whatsoever. :sweating:

    Hmmn. Thanks again.
So I tried at 1 store. Person said they don't do from 'store to store' shipments...so she said from the distributor she could order. 2 titles were 'pre-pay' so I said no to those thinking no 50% off. The 2 others she ordered are on the 50% off list and are supposed to arrive to their store now within a week. I'll try another store for the 'manifest' ship of those 2 other titles? The 4 titles I wanted are all at 1 store, but it's a haul of a drive.

The Cure's album "Faith" I bought for a friend in the sale and that was "Pre-pay only". I tried ringing up the Gilroy, California store that had it and they were unable to manifest it to where I work because it was pre-pay only. They were more than happy to take payment over the phone and it arrived a couple of days ago with the receipt. It was originally $22 but I got it for $11 (plus tax because it was being purchased in California). It does not matter if an album is pre-pay only - if it is in the sale you will be charged the sale price so long as you are buying it in person or calling a store directly!

I can check if the albums are in the sale when I'm at work tomorrow if you give me the titles.
