+1. It doesn't help Howie to write a post where he puts himself above everyone by implying he's a better person than others here because he uses his real name and that Mark has been on his podcast. Howie, you are a lovable person without all that as is everyone else on earth. Let that go.

If I were having a [insert favorite beverage here] with Mr Lewisohn I think I would be speaking about 3% of the time,
so as much as I like Howie and crew I don't think it was their best interview, but then they haven't done many and they were doing their regular "act" with this episode

I have a lot of Lewisohn interviews (podcasts, etc) and they are usually very informative. I won't be keeping this one, it really was wasted opportunity.

Mark wants to ask Ringo if he had to do it all over again would he join The Beatles or would he have rather opened a hair salon.

Mark wants to tell Paul that he (Mark) is sorry about the recent break-in at Paul's London home. Mark promises Paul that he will be more discreet next time.

What would there be about Pete in V2? He was long gone from the band by that point...

Not to add on to the increasing incoherence of this thread but Lewisohn did say at some point that he planned to follow Best's story on through the rest of the '60s. Not very much of it, I would imagine.

Interesting. I would've figured that once Pete got the boot, there was nothing left to discuss in a Beatles history...

He did file a lawsuit against them over their 1965 Playboy interview; they settled four years later. I would bet Lewisohn would spend some time on that.

I believe he was suicidal for a bit in the mid-60's. I forget where I heard that.

This is probably going to sound dumb, but I'll throw it out there anyway. If the issue between Lewisohn and Olivia is really a misunderstanding which he believes can be resolved if they have a conversation, maybe he should try talking to Conan O'Brien. Conan is a huge Beatles fan and did an interview with Lewisohn when Tune In came out. He's also friends with Dhani and has been to Friar Park. He'd be able to vouch for Lewisohn.

Yes there is an issue between them. No Mark was not to blame, though he was a bit careless with information he maybe should have held to himself. George never forgave Mark, and Olivia and Dhabi is not likely to either. It is not a legal issue, Mark simply lost their trust, and they were not to be reasoned with.

I think it might have been mentioned in Hunter Davies's 1968 Beatles bio.
