beatles EP and singles Collection

    Steve,
    I recently picked copies of the beatles CD EP Collection and the CD singles Collection. I noticed that the sound quality was quite superior to the original CD releases. There is much more depth and warmth to these recordings. They still do not sound as good as my old UK mono LP's, but they are certainly not bad.

    Why is this! are these direct tape transfers!
    What is your opinion of these collections.
