Why is there different pricing as per country when they're all from the same company/mastering?

Different labels(different pricing) , different value added tax for each country. Different packaging ,some have booklets , etc. As we all know ,
anything from Japan is going to be higher than let's say ,something from
Europe. Maybe better pressing, limited Ed.

By any chance would you happen to know the details of what's what? Oh yeah, any photos showing the differences? Different labels??? Thx.

Yeah, my MMT booklet was missing. (Don't imagine anyone has a spare?!?) I got it off ebay, so immediately yer thinkin' "uh-oh." But here's the thing...it was sealed, with the original descrpitive sticker on the shrink wrap, and the various pieces looked completely untouched. Furthermore, the shrink wrap itself looked really old and "well-conformed" to the box (dusty, scratchy, etc.). I doubt the seller opened this and robbed me of a booklet (why?), but rather it may have been a manufacturing error.

I bought mine a few months back from Amazon UK for just under $100. I think it's great and having the MMT in both versions is really fun...I wish they'd taken this much care with the other CDs in the Beatles catalog. I'd get the singles set, but I just can't justify it.

If you can't get any help here. Check ebay, I've seen the MMT EP Cee Dee from the boxset being offered...not very often though.

On the recommendations of forum members, I picked it up at a used record store for $100 Canadian. It's in pristine condition, "Baby's In Black" has just finished playing, "Words of Love" has come on.

You guys were right. I does sound great as I listen to it chronologically. I think the whole Please Please Me album is on here!

I just scored this one a few days ago
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2529193033&category=1573&rd=1

pretty good price for a sealed one aye! Just thought I post it to let people know if you look around there are great deals out there I figure I paid just a little more than a buck a song!!!

I knew I would see this around in stores every once in a while but never picked it up because I didnt know that anything was different about the music, after reading here I thought I would snag one but figured ebay prices are usually high so I was cruising the used shops. I found one used for $100 but passed went home and found this on ebay the next day. Cant wait till it gets here.

I like the singles set. I rarely listen to IWTHYH, I'm Down & Revolution in stereo anymore. You think EMI could have put this set on 2 CD's and just put the picture sleeves in a booklet. :sigh:

I've had this set for a while now, although I played it for the first time just a couple weeks ago. This set is indispensable!

This is the best sound I've heard on a Beatles compact disc, it's highly recommended to all Beatles fans.

That's weird! I just picked one up for $99.99 two weeks ago, too! Used and it looks like it's never been played!

    Is someone "dumping" these?

Wow the set on Ebay that went for 65 bucks was a steal indeed. This was what QVC used to sell it for when they had these Beatle special shows on for 1hr or 2hr's. But I'm talking either back in the late 80's or early 90's. Both sets of the UK 45's and EP's sold out at every airing. I was never able to get a set back then because they were SOLD OUT in less than 2 minutes. I remember saying to my wife, "And you think I'm the only Beatles Fan around anymore"

Yes it is indeed. You can make a far better PPM CD with the tracks from the E.P.'s box set, than that crappy EMI CD we've had to live with the past 16 years.

Check out that bass on I Saw Her Standing There on the E.P. :D

Actually, unfortunately, I forgot about "Boys" and "Baby It's You". Would've been nice if those 2 tracks were included.:sigh:

I got my set! I haven't been able to listen to all of it yet but take every chance I can, just grab a disc at random and put it on. I have to say although I have not A-B anything the sound is quite striking, very nice. This morning I had on the one with Baby Your a Rich Man and the bass on that sounds really "fat" its great .

I did have one problem though the box was sealed but there was no Magical Mystery Tour CD s no sleeve or booklet nothing:confused: I don't think it is a reseal as everything was too perfect inside and the shinkwrap had an EMI import sticker on it.

I read on this thread Mark (VeeDub) got a sealed copy without MMT booklet so I wonder if EMI got sloppy with the packaging.

Now is this a 2 cd jacket with booklet one stereo and one mono or is it two seperate sleeves one with a booklet?

If anyone comes across one of these sold seperately please let me know.
There was one sold on ebay not too long ago but the seller didnt have any more. tooo bad!

Bummer that the MMT is missing, yes this is like an open up type of sleeve and the boolet is in the middle and on the right side there would be the EP in Mono and on the Left side would be the EP in Stereo or visa versa. Gee, I'm really sorry you're missing those 2 discs as well as the little type album cover they both come in. Is there a chance to write the seller you bought it from and explain what is missing I'm sure that they would try and make it right for you. As I know it's a bit of a hassle, however it's worth it to see if they will get the item to you to complete your set. Best of luck.

Actually I did write the seller just to inform him. I didn't ask for any kind of rebate or refund nor do I want to send it back. The thing is I belive it was truely factory sealed and therefore not his fault.
I did find an expired auction of someone selling just the MMT set so I hope another comes up. In the end I'll be paying more but I'll have the whole set. I like the MMT materiel so its worth it.
