Apologies if this has already been mentioned, and it's not a new observation, but doesn't the verse of Get Back sound like Catch A Falling Star?

Not directly lyric or melody but certainly relevant to the discussion.

I always associated "Watch Your Step" more closely with "Day Tripper" than "I Feel Fine", but it clearly was an inspiration for both. To say it was an "inspiration" for Led Zep's "Moby Dick" is being kind :)

How... I tend to think the Ventures begat Batman and Taxman has no linkage aside from a six letter title that ends with "man".

Yup. Led Zeppelin looses many many respect points for their "Inspirations". That alone makes them not worthy.

Anyone who's played Rock Band should've figured out that the drum part in "I Feel Fine" is more-or-less "What'd I Say."

So much for Ringo not handling sophisticated drum parts...

Much of the melody & the reggae feel of "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" sounds like it was taken from this ditty:

Not really a rip-off, but "Pinball Wizard" had been a sizeable hit by the time "Polythene Pam" came to be recorded: I wonder if John was inspired by "PW" to give "PP" that chunky, chordal acoustic guitar intro?

I personally think the similarity between All My Loving and the Brubeck song (Kathy's Waltz) is a coincidence, although it is a possibility. BUT as I said earlier: If Paul heard that Dave Brubeck song, and then picked up on the little 8- or 9-note riff, which is not repeated elsewhere in the song, and then wrote a whole song around it, I'd be even more impressed with Paul. To me, that would be more remarkable than him just thinking the whole song up himself.
