  1. Can you put up a link to the concert? I can’t seem to find it on the iTunes store

  2. Got it. Thanks.

Oops, getting a warning that it’s not currently available in my country (United States). Oh well.

It is available in the US. I don't usually use iTunes so I had to install it in Win 10. The video is a DRM-free download, not a stream.

  4. Thanks. I’m an Apple and Linux person but I’m not a fan of iTunes either. Hate the interface. Anyway, you can uninstall it and just play the video in VLC or a similar m4v/mp4 player.

Sorry, to bother. I am totally a GNU/Linux person, too, therefore I have got zero experience with ITunes. So I could install ITunes on a Windows box (if I ask the owner nicely), buy that video, copy it outside and happily add it to my Beatles collection? Really?
    That would be ... awesome.

As I have seen an image of the label there is no denying it does exist. I even had it as home screen background last year and at the same time could hear the actual track, so there you go. I just wonder why all official discographers are denying it's existence.

If this mystery box turns out to be a vinyl singles box (UK, US or whatever), I seriously wonder how many people would buy it. And out of those who buy it, how many will listen to them. IMHO it would be a completely pointless release, since they would not be the *original* singles, and therefore not great collectibles. A very narrow market target indeed.

Dividing a vinyl singles collection into TWO boxes is a really good idea, IMHO. Because all of them together will be very pricey, especially for an item like 7"s that not a ton of people still collect.

And keeping the established periods of '62-'66 and '67-'70 along with their established colors, makes sense as well. It's branding.

If they are picture sleeves I know I would buy the "blue period" box immediately. Probably wait on the "red" box....Great idea/theory :edthumbs:

If it is indeed a singles box, I won't buy it, and therefore, won't listen to it. What a disappointment that would be.

Also, maccawings said in the AR thread that the release dates are already appointed, and that we may have to wait longer than we thought. So maybe AR is released in October/November, and this 1962-66 singles box (IF it is the mystery release) may have been pushed to January, that is the date Record Collector has for a Beatles 1962-66 release.
Or maybe they are just reissuing the red album in January, this is all wild speculation :sigh:

So apparently the U.S. albums are coming to streaming services, at least Apple Music has it right now. This includes some mono mixes as well. I think this is very interesting and might be a indication of what they do with this set.

Throwing my hat into the ring.

As already said, it is a big release, not sure if this means size or importance, so for the sake of this I'm saying importance.

Fans and collectors are the appeal, but insiders are not excited.

With this evidence, dare I say a reissue of the Mono Vinyl Set?

The mono vinyl set is a very important release historically. Fans have been clamoring for a reissue and collectors want to buy an extra copy.

Insiders are not excited because they released it before.

Plus, there were some 30 second promos uploaded on the offical Beatles channel about 2 months ago and a "mono" playlist was created...

I am probably wrong, but just thought I throw out my theory.

I can’t see that being classed as a big release though. I’m in the 7” singles box camp.

I agree, a singles box is my guess too, but thought I would throw in my own little theory in that is most likely wrong...

At one point I was excited about this set, thinking it might be a Yellow Submarine-related release with new mixes. I'm not sure a mono set reissue would register more than a blip on the excitement meter.

I have been waiting for someone to suggest this. :)

My gut tells me you are right -- especially given that the Beatles YouTube channel mysteriously posted four "Beatles in mono vinyl" videos a couple of months ago.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but I don't really think it's a reissue of the Mono box. One of the clues was that colours red/yellow were involved in the design. Also, Mike or maccawings (can't remember who) said that the box was waaay smaller than Egypt Station's suitcase. I don't think they would say that about a hefty box set like that.

My bet is the same from the start: vinyl singles collection.

Red and yellow. Could be an expanded edition of the Red Album and a new mid-era compilation: the Yellow Album.
Saving up the Blue Album after the Abbey Road and Let It Be box sets are released.^^

Or, and that's more realistic, the 1 compilation spread in 14+ vinyl singles with picture sleeves.

I think it could be something related to the Capitol Albums.

Insider Apple loyalists (and those who want to be) can't embrace these and will make sure people know they are not interested.

If it's a re-do of the 2014 mono vinyl, I would be glad. Not that I like mono Beatles, but I would be glad to see the somewhat smug and self satisfied who pride themselves on getting a copy of the mono box before they ran out, be upset because others now have a chance to own them.
