His voice cracked with nerves on the original "Love Me Do" -- now it can crack with age!

Great place to keep one’s stash, or disguised goatee for that matter. ;)

It's also ridiculously outdated as many new tapes and upgrades have appeared since that box was "released" over 25 years ago.

Are those on your floor or the ceiling? They'd really look cool on the ceiling, if you want my opinion... ;)

You've got that right, although don't bet against it. Crazy as it might sound, I'm almost inclined to think P.McC is happy for PPM to be excluded as he could (and should) have insisted it be on "1" where it belonged.

It's a damn fine set too. Really sumptuous.

It would've forced 1 into being a 2-CD set, thereby raising the price and sacrificing marketability. Not including actual #1 hits on the album was utterly stupid, but there was a reason. And considering how well 1 sold, it was probably the right move keeping it at one disc.

    :agree:
But the Star Club tracks feature some of Ringo's best drumming recorded on tape.

But PPM wasn't number one on Record Retailer, which is the predecessor to the Official Charts Company in the UK.

As I said in the AR thread, my thought is a '1' box.

Super Deluxe edition of Magical Mystery Tour.

  17. If they did that it would have to unearthed something pretty amazing to beat what came before or combine all variations in the set.

My guess is a Super Deluxe Yellow Submarine featuring the Blu-Ray, the original soundtrack, the song track and 5.1 remixes of all the material on both albums plus the missing longer version of Its All Too Much.

If it's a vinyl singles box, I could see Apple tying it marketing-wise to 1, and making it the 45s version of 1, with 7"s of that whole track list + original B-sides on the flip + reproduction picture sleeves. 27 vinyl singles + book + poster in a red and yellow 1 box...for about $300. Just a guess.

This would be a wise marketing move but also be disappointing perhaps to some fans who would want all the singles in a box, not just the #1s. And it wouldn't appeal to non vinyl lovers, so those things fit the clues we've been given from insiders.

  19. Sure it does. It’s a matter of selling to the collectible Beatles market. You could do repackage the sound and song track, include a senate disc of 5.1 mixes of both on a DVDA and Blu ray and include the film with a collectible frame from the film all in a Packaged Yellow Submarine. It would also explain why Apple isn’t all that excited about it.

  20. With beautiful replica full color picture sleeves, that would sell.

That probably explains why Walmart won't take my order. ;)

  22. Tedious listening? What is tedious about them?

  23. I had it back in the day but to make s9me money and declitter the house about five your six years ago, I got rid of it. Sad day.

  24. They did have that Beatles limited edition vinyl singles collection but it hardly touched on their essential singles.

Maybe it’s what we’ve been craving..

    “2” and the. “3” ;)

That collection better be reproductions, because if they are real, that copy of Can't Buy Me Love should be in a vault wrapped in an archival sleeve.
