I love the sound of this little Rickenbacker 325 (with John's set list taped to it).

The Capri guitar sounds "clean" during the opening strums of "Cry For A Shadow" and when combined with a Vox amp, it just sounds killer (I Want To Hold Your Hand, I Call Your Name). I love it.

More shots with fans and one familiar photo shoot, but with an alternative background rarely seen.

Thanks for the great initial pics, Steve. My initial thoughts as I see Beatles pics through the years is man John changed looks so much throughout a few short years.

My fav of those you posted are the George Martin/ John Lennon/Beatles/ Pepper era ones. John looks like a student at a desk getting a lashing from Mr Martin in that one pic lol. In the other pic George Martin is looking at the photographer as if to say " Please do not photograph the lads" haha.

Yes, but what went around, came around I guess. He really didn't look THAT much different at the end of his life than he did in 1965/1966, huh ?

Sadly I only have one. The signatures are faked - by their secretary (s). Taken at the Hot Stove Lounge at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto by the Toronto Telegram.

That is a great comparison! Notice that the '65 eyes look a little "inspired by some jazz herbal cigarettes" and the 1980 eyes seem a bit more "clear".
