The Albert Memorial itself could be added to the tour :)

I wish that I was aware of this when we were there. I would have taken more photos. Thanks!!

    Yes it should!

  3. What a terrific thread!

Thanks for your knowledgeable reply. The photo that I took from across the street has more direct significance to your reply than what I was looking for. I just did not know it at the time. Our guide did ask if we wanted to enter the park and find where the Beatles For Sale photos were taken but I told him I would have no idea where to start. Hyde Park is very large. Now I wish that we would have just to explore the Albert Memorial.

    Thanks David!
I'm having fun with it. It's like reliving the tour. I would love to go back and do it again!

This is an enjoyable thread. I go around most of these places pretty much on a weekly basis and haven't delved into the history half as much as you!

That was something that was tucked away somewhere in the back of my mind. When I was there in 1989, the one tour guide (who came down from Liverpool, and then went back up there with us for the rest of my trip) mentioned the Grapefruit filming, since part of the day was dedicated to Apple-related stuff.

    Picture #20 /with video attachment.

This won't be easy not because of Beatles relevance but because of my bad camera skills. The photo will display the Beatle connection but only a portion of it. The attached short video will show a drive by view of it but I was too close to get a full view shot. The photo was taken from a nighttime open bus tour of London. The video was taken earlier in the day during the private Beatles tour. With my luck I missed getting a good shot on both.

Picture #21 (Not sure of a Beatle reference here only that this was once a part of Swingin' London of the 60's.

The only other thing that looks familiar is the Ripley's Believe it or not. That was the Pavilion Theatre, where they'd have the movie premieres, correct?

You're good! Believe it or not, The London Pavilion is now a Ripley's Believe It Or Not. "A Hard Day's Night" premiered there in 1964.

Here's one that I don't even know the answer to even though I took the picture! I remember our guide pointing it out but I can't remember what he said and I don't have video of this location. I can barely see "thirteen" displayed behind the small left tree and what seems to be some kind of marker on the sidewalk in front of the steps. Judging by the sequence of my photos it's somewhere between Brian Epstien's residence and 3 Saville Row. Can anyone identify? I've researched it to death and can't come to a conclusion. Thanks!

    What was #20?

Looked like a drive through Piccadilly Circus/London's West End

Was Dr Robert's 'surgery' part of the tour?

Home of the Pretty Things and maybe Brian Jones? No idea of the direct Beatles connection - a regular hang-out?

#20 was The London Pavillion which is now a Ripley's Believe It Or Not. I apologize that I could not capture a good picture or video, struck out both attempts. The picture only shows part of the building and the video only shows a quick drive by from the taxi. Too close to get a good video.

"A Hard Day's Night" was premiered there.

If you're referring to the location of his dinner party that John & George attended, no.

    That's it! Thanks, mystery solved!

I did a google map street search to confirm. Brian Epstein's residence is just around the corner on Chapel Street. Apparently our guide pointed this out and I snapped a quick picture. No Beatle connection here other than Brian Jones played sax on "You Know My Name Look Up The Number". I've had plenty of time to forget about this as our tour was in June of 2017.
