I will be emotionally unavailable a week after the release of this song. I just hope they do us proud!

Or… we could be adults about the whole thing and understand that this thing is coming and here is the ready made thread to discuss it.
because there's only 17 hours left and it's practically been confirmed 10 times over? not much room for speculation anymore....
I don't begrudge anybody feeling a given release is "pointless" if that's the way they feel. But while the advice of "you don't have to buy it" was true even many many years ago, it's even more so today, where you can *listen to the entire thing*, *legally*, without paying one cent!
I'll probably get the CD version... can't imagine the vinyl will beat the 2014 AAA cuts... I haven't been following the leaks... are "new" versions of "Free As a Bird" and "Real Love" gonna be on this? Like, upgraded with the de-mixing tech?
Not to be pedantic, but "Free As A Bird" was recorded a year before "Now and Then" was even prepped and attempted, so they certainly didn't reject "Now and Then" in favor of "Free As A Bird." They sort of did for "Real Love", although it was more a case of putting "Now and Then" on the shelf because "Real Love" was quicker and easier to finish. I can't expect everybody to wade through the 800 plus 300 pages of the other two threads on this topic, but I've posted a number of times in detail about the history of "Now and Then." I guess my position on it is that if you're going to s**t on the song, at least know the details first. I suspect we'll see a fair amount of "right for the wrong reasons" criticisms of "Now and Then" in the near future, even in the midst of reviews that have good things to say about the song too.
Bummer... thanks. Just saw the spoiler on the first page. I should read before I ask! I'll probably still get it.
