Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Who, Hollies are my 5 favorite 1960's British bands. Yours?

    That's a really interesting question

I love zep, tull and traffic, but I feel like their best stuff was in the seventies.
The Moody Blues are a really hard call, because they are so spread across that cusp it's hard to know which way to go with them.
I prefer Pink Floyd's seventies stuff but love their sixties stuff as well, and I could say the same for the Kinks.... and the Who actually...and the Bee Gees ...

    I'm going to go with

    Kinks
    Pink Floyd
    Beatles
    Stones
    Who

    With
    Moody blues
    Bee gees
    Yardbirds
    Led zep
    Traffic
    Rounding out to ten

The #5 slot isn't cast in stone. It could have also been the Hollies, The Animals, or the Dave Clark Five. I might have also chosen Traffic, Pink Floyd, or Led Zeppelin, but they seem more like 70s bands, rather than 60s bands.

One '60s artist that I visit as often as any of those I listed is Donovan, but of course, he doesn't fit this category.

Hey Vinyl Man Another bloody Yank down under...

Beatles, Who, Stones, Moody Blues, Procol Harom.

Probably the only band in my British Top Ten that didn't come from the sixties would be the Clash.

    For 60s only
Just replace the Police and Queen with Stones and Procol Harum

I always thought The Bee Gees were Australian? I can't tell the accents apart either, unless someone says mate.
