Nashville-based singer T.G. Sheppard asked his pal Barry Gibb for a song and got "Midnight in Memphis" in late 2014, earliest reports from Oct 2014 (didn't get an actual copyright registration until August the following year). Five years on and T.G. Sheppard is scheduled to release it as the title track for his forthcoming studio album on September 20. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WT6SP4W/ An audio sample can be heard at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W8C3K4M/

We would be lucky if we get physical reissues of the albums as they were released originally or as presented on CD in the 80s/90s. Barry is not keen on releasing outtakes (putting it mildly).
Hmmm..... Me personally? I would like to see Cucumber Castle with Barry and Maurice solo output as bonus tracks (we've already gotten Robin's output from this period released). I would also like to see a release with 2 Years On to the Mr. Natural album (with A Kick In the Head as a bonus disc)..... And a Main Course release like Odessa had.... Sadly, I have to agree. But it's nice to dream anyways though lol.
It would be nice if they would continue with Cucumber Castle and onwards but even if Capitol was interested in doing so (and if given Barry's blessing of course) they wouldn't focus on this period. They're only in it for the money, hence why we're only getting the hits collections. It was a blessing we got as far as we did with Sandoval's perseverance! No one at Capitol cares.
You're welcome! I was hesitant to buy it at first because it wasn't an official release and sometimes radio recordings can be poor quality. I took the plunge and was pleasantly surprised that the majority of the songs were decent sounding. I couldn't tell you how many times I've listened to it since I received it. I just love it.
He sang on more than many realize. Wished he would have sang lead more often. That's one of the reasons I liked the Mythology set so much. Barry, Robin, and Andy's discs were pretty standard fare, but Maurice's disc was a jackpot for me. While it didn't have all of his songs, but it gave me several tracks I had never heard before. I must have listened to his disc a dozen times when I first got the set lol. Track-listing: Disc 3 – Maurice 1. "Man in the Middle" M. Gibb, B. Gibb This Is Where I Came In 4:21 2.
