Usually this just means listing the two first songs from the usual suspects for best debut ever, but I think I have a good one that crops up less frequently on SHF :-

Sade, Diamond Life: 'Smooth Operator', 'Your Love Is King'

Inflammable Material - Stiff Little Fingers

    Suspect Device
    State of Emergency

and I think we should let in track three - Here We Are Nowhere - which is 58 seconds of delight (it still creeps in at under 6 minutes, I think!)

When you look at the original Rough Trade vinyl you can see the rage without even putting the stylus on the disc!

One I always come back to, specifically for the one-two punch of
    1) Nice, Nice, Very Nice
    2) Time Waits for No One

    Holdin' On To Yesterday
in the #3 spot is icing on the cake.

Another gem is of course is The Only Ones debut:

    The Whole of The Law
    Another Girl, Another Planet

A brilliant start to a brilliant album from probably the most underrated band to ever to emerge from the UK.
