Best abandon Beathes titles, or ideas.

This is a carry-over from the Beatles trivia thread.

What other album titles are there besides "A Doll's House"?

    "Beatles on Safari (or Parade?)"

"Everest" - would have been a cool album cover but the one used was better than anyone could have imagined at the time.

Film title "Eight Arms To Hold You". John couldn't imagine having to come up with a song with that title. It would have been interesting. This title is on the original Capitol single of "Ticket To Ride" as most of us know.

I know the original title of Please Please Me was supposed to be
"Off the Beatles Track", a play on the phrase Off The Beaten Track...yuck!

From "Laxton's Superb" to "I Don't Know" to "I Want To Tell You".

Harrison never seemed quite sure of his titles.

"What's the name of your new song George?"
    ......"I Don't Know".

Unless I am mixing my apple names/Beatles trivia again, "Granny Smith" was the working title of "Love You To". Laxton's Superb is also a type of apple. It's interesting how the Apple was making subtle appearances in 1966!

There's much controversy over that.....in the Lewisohn book, it's called Mark 1.....there is no documentation of The Void on any EMI tape reels.

That's what it's called or known as the real slow sloshy sounding one that appears on Anthology 2 even but I thought that it could have been the working title that John had used for it. The story goes that on the reel tape box had written on it MARK 1.

George Martin later used the title Off the Beatle Track for a collection of easy-listening instrumental versions of Beatles songs ... a more appropriate use of the title, actually.

A couple others that haven't been mentioned:
-- The idea of Get Back as a Beatles album with no overdubs
-- Capitol's proposal for a live Hollywood Bowl album, which twice (1964 and 1966) made the acetate stage but was vetoed by George Martin and others in the UK before release
