I wish Saoirse Ronan would win her Oscar soon. My favorite movies of hers are Brooklyn, Atonement, and The Lovely Bones.
Don’t think anybody else comes close !!!!
Deadwood is his finest moment.
Over the past 20 years...
Philip Seymour Hoffman (RIP)
Benicio Del Toro
Heath Ledger (RIP)
Is Denzel still acting?
And he got to work with Hayley Mills, Pamela Sue Martin, Amelia Shankley.
There Will Be Blood and Phantom Thread had incredible acting performances from the man.
Like his voice as Manfred in Ice Age.
Wasn’t in Game of Thrones long enough.
In no particular order, thinking of the generation younger than Streep De Niro, etc...
Learn from the master.
Bob Odenkirk is not a great actor (IMO).
Phillip Seymour Hoffman
He has impressed the hell out of me with each and every movie.
Jake Gyllenhaal has been nearly as consistent. And his sister is no slouch either.
There's a lot of talent to choose from, but numero uno has got to be Edward Norton.
I love Norton. I really do. But for me his 2 best acting performances were last century which is why I had to leave him off my list
Book of Eli
Man on Fire
Mo Better Blues
21st, well some of these are from last 20 years
I gotta go with my 7 year old daughter.....command performance nearly every day.
Male: Bryan Cranston
Female: Tatiana Maslany (Who I fear will never get worthwhile roles worthy of her talent ever again)
Amazingly, they starred together on Broadway last year in a stage version of Network. How I would’ve loved to have seen that! By the time I knew about it, the limited run was nearly over.
EDIT: Sam Rockwell is a fine choice too.
