The Miles Davis’ ’Second Great Quintet' of course!

    Miles Davis - trumpet
    Wayne Shorter - tenor saxophone
    Herbie Hancock - piano
    Ron Carter - bass
    Tony Williams - drums

This is quite easily the greatest band of all-time. It certainly has remained the most influential to me.

Miles Davis Quintet if we're talking players of instruments, the Temptations if we're talking vocal groups.

67 could be the greatest year ever for rock music, but even so, what the Beatles did that year still stands out in a big way.

So much heavy competition. Aesthetically think Pepper / Forever Changes own that year.

Should have been a poll, my bad.
But in my defense the list would be too long!!!

The Doors' albums from that year are still jaw-dropping. Only Hendrix and Cream came close.

Where’s that pic with “ taught the band to play” Paul McCartney?

Fair enough, though I think "Are You Experienced" could easily be considered or make it a trio of ownership, aesthetically..
67 is such a great year with lesser things like "Dear Mr Fantasy" being awesome. I consider Pepper, singles and EP, to comfortably have the Beatles be the standard bearer for 67. Aesthetically speaking, 67 encompassed a lot more than just The Beatles.

The Monkees consisted of songs written by masters of the pop tune craft, who did very well with solo work

Davy and Mickey had excellent singing voices for top 40 markets, Mike almost was there (he has a solid fan base)

and musicians were the finest studio element of its day, they even worked on their own for Headquarters and possibly other things

all in all some incredibly well-produced songs, of which all pop/rock music fans can easily rhyme off 8 or more tunes

For sheer power and creativity, it would have to be the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

But the best albums that year still came from The Beatles (and Sgt Pepper isn't even my #1, lol).

The Jimi Hendrix Experience! So different from anybody else in 1967. The Experience was a real jaw dropper for me.

My older brother always said the same about the Monkees!
It’s probably not the right answer but like someone else also said I have a soft spot for the Stones 1967 - Ruby Tuesday, She's a Rainbow, 2000 Light Years From Home, We Love You. Great stuff. In fairness probably an easier argument to sustain in 1968!
