How does the A21+ compared to the Stereo 100 in your set up?

I'm loving these Sonus Faber Cremona Auditor Ms. The downside? I'm no longer in the hunt for new speakers, and I do enjoy the hunt.

It compares quite well. The main reason I got the Parasound is that I regularly wanted to play music louder than the Stereo 100 could handle. Sound quality is slightly smoother, top end slightly more extended and clear, midrange very good but this is where the Stereo 100 did really well. Bass on the a21+ is deeper and lets my subwoofers sound a little better. I am happy I made the move. The Stereo 100 is probably the better overall amp if you have more efficient speakers. The transparency, dynamics and sound stage are better. The 100 is a killer amp and much more dynamic and powerful than the 100 WPC indicates. It shredded a 150 WPC solid state amp I own.

Thank you for the insight. I briefly paired the Parasound 2125 v.2 with the Doge 8 tube preamp. The pairing enhanced the bass... just didn't have the same involvement I get with both tubed preamp and tubed amp setup. Then again, my 2125 is no A21+. I plan on moving things around this weekend (putting the HT on hiatus) and will try the 2125 amp again.

I didn't think I would be adding to this thread in 2020, but I have been very luck and I was able to get some Rosso Fiorentino speakers in the house. The Certaldo seems to be the prefect fit for my small room, and I am so thrilled to have them after wanting to get Rossos since the first time I heard them.

The cheapest thing I got for myself is probably also one of the best: Another VU Meter coffee mug! Everything sounds better while I drink my coffee.
