I would like to say the Nola Grand Reference but i never could get them to sound right so for me it is the JBL Everest i owned these about 10 years ago, i love my current Soundlab Dynastats but they are definitely not JBL Everest. Maybe one day i will be able to buy another pair they are a true world class reference loudspeaker.
KEF LS50 Black Edition. I purchased them last week. I'm impressed and expect to keep them indefinitely.
My current active ATC's Always amazed by how few members here have gone active considering the VAST improvement in SQ (for me anyway!!!) E.G.......A friend has B&W 802D's run by a mega buck mega wattage Bladelius amp. He just shook his head in disbelief when he first heard my 20 year old SCM 70 ASL's.
I wonder if on the high-end especially audiophiles are reluctant to ditch their beloved amplification equipment. I think there is tremendous opportunity for low-cost hifi especially. Excellent DACs, class-D amps, and digital crossovers can all be integrated into a single box, relatively cheaply, in a way only recently possible. KEF LS50W is in example, and I expect KEF has a very high margin on those speakers.
Current, AN-E/Ds. Everything I'd want in a domestic speaker (...apart from its costlier brethren) - not least the fact they don't have to sit in the middle of your room.
My current Magnepan 1.7 powered by with a Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum. Bests the Vandersteen 1C pair powered by a Jolida 302B. I was tempted by a discounted pair of Vandersteeen 2Ce Signatures. I just decided to stick with the Maggies.
I've owned two sets of speakers (both long gone) that really delivered the goods. Albeit in very different ways: ProAc Tablette 50's (on incredibly solid/heavy Target stands). These had a midrange and treble and imaging to die for. PMC FB1's. These seemed to do everything well. Still the only 'domestic sized' full-range all-rounder I've ever owned and certainly one of the very best I've heard. Having said that, my current humble Rega RS3's are far more suited to my current set-up and listening room and I'm constantly surprised at the heights they are capable of (though I'll never be anything less than alarmed at how physically light-weight they are). Speakers are very tricky beasts. I've owned many different ones in my time...
I've had bigger, I've had more expensive but my current Sonus Faber Amati's are my favourite. One of the last speakers the great master designed.
My current ATC SCM19V2’s. Sealed enclosures with enough clean power equals the clearest sound I’ve heard. Their new house made tweeters are super sweet. I’m sure ATC actives are special, but I’m one of those weirdos that won’t ditch another box on the shelf.
Current ATC SCM19, they do everything right, the only way up would be a pair of 50s. Kudos to the junior system ProAc Tablette 50s too.
My Current Fausto Stratos, 30 year old belgian design, unknown on the worldwide web and thus unknown to mankind . My b&o beolab 5000 speakers don't sound as good but they are the most beautiful designed speakers...ever, works of art hanging on the wall .
