I really enjoyed Sopranos as a comedy/drama. An all around great show. It just wasn't tough enough to earn top spot for a mafia show. I realize my opinion about that is in the minority.

Yep, too many boring episodes with Tony and his Family(especially the ones with his annoying Sister). I wanted ‘More Whacking and Less Yacking’:agree:.

Gomorrah. The cast/acting, soundtrack, location, cinematography are all an order of magnitude above any show I've ever watched. Gennaro is a bit annoying though.

Ganglands (Netflix - France). This new series KMFA. Some of the most impressive high powered weapon scenes. Great English dubbing.

Those real life documentaries are chilling.
Sammy Gravano’s podcasts if they count as a series.
All judgements aside, just a lot of empty, depressing evil went down in the world, even if justified in any way,it is only rearranged not solved.

    Kin. Currently airing on AMC.

Kin tells the story of a fictional Dublin family embroiled in gangland war and speaks to the enduring unbreakable bonds of blood and family.

    Got the 1-3 dvd box.
Just finished S1 fast forwarding a bit.
First thing first: night exterior scenes, didn’t the production have some money for lighting.
Aside, couldn’t find anything redeeming about this gangster Italian series. No empathy for any characters, script cliche ridden. Some locations were interesting usually housing estates lol. Maybe the next two seasons are better. Disappointed, plenty. Who’s the bald dude that looks like Brazils Ronaldo. What did Italians think of the series? No way was it like The Sopranos or The Wire.
