I can't for the life of me remember what new 2O19 albums I bought other than Allan Clarke (ex-Hollies) 'Resurgence' which is pretty decent actually, and Dave Holland/Zakir Hussain/Chris Potter, 'Good Hope', which, while not a breakout jazz lp, is nonetheless a highly enjoyable bass-tabla-sax combo effort guaranteed to please. 2O19 found me spending more time focusing on the veritable tidal wave of CD reissues of classic and rare albums from the 6Os & 7Os that found their way into record shops throughout the year. It was a banner year for highly desireable reissues.

Too recent for me to get my head round, in that a few of these I have only played once or twice. But here is what I bought:

Guided By Voices - Zeppelin Over China
Guided By Voices - Warp & Woof
Guided By Voices - Sweating the Plague
The Twilight Sad - It Won/t Be Like This All the Time
Lambchop - (This) is What I Wanted To Tell You
    Bob Mould - Sunshine Rock
    Mono - Nowhere Now Here
    Stephen Malkmus - Groove Denied
    Sebadoh - Act Surprised
    Richard Hawley - Further
    Eluvium - Pianoworks
Calexico and Iron & Wine - Years to Burn
    William Tyler - Goes West
Ride - This is Not a Safe Place
    Russian Circles - Blood Year
    Diiv - Deceiver
    Nick Cave - Ghosteen

@bvb1123 Thanks so much for doing these. Really enjoyed them. In some years I have discovered albums that are new to me, or it has given me a push to get something that's been on the list for a while. I went as far back as 1979, my birth year. I could probably count on two hands the number of albums I own from before that.

With the later years especially, it is nice to look through people's lists, particularly folks you feel you have some musical interests in common with .... because for me, i know I am out of touch with the scene, and so I can see what folks bought and liked, and it gives me options of stuff to try out.... rather than the old - music died after 1985 or whatever lol
