Is Architects the biggest Epitath Records release yet?

Also impressed to see Moonspell charting on different countries, this one is a nice tune:

Moonspell have proved to be more melodic than I expected. Reviews I've seen suggested that they were more thrashy and death-metally, which isn't my thing. I've quite enjoyed their videos on this thread though.

It depends what album you pick, actually. They bounce between gothic rock and death metal quite a bit.

Architects have to be up for in terms of Epitaph's biggest album but in recent memory, there's also Parkway Drive and especially Bring Me the Horizon which did a bit better on the charts.

Witherfall look worth exploring. That's a highly decent song.

As cheesy as others might find it, I find piratey folk-rock a lot of fun so I really quite like Mr Hurley & his Powder Monkeys. I had no idea they were a chart act though. That's fantastic! Ye Banished Privateers are the other stars of the genre, at least ofr me.

The "Is Rock Dead?" thread is the gift that keeps on giving, isn't it? Endlessly exasperating.

I liked the Witherfall as well ad figured you might too as well as the tune from Mr Hurley which is partly why I made sure to post that one :)

That 'rock is dead' thread just goes from strength. It's pretty clear that they aren't actually interested in any data they don't already have from their own anecdotes. Sigh....

Two great songs up here: the Shinova one, which has a nice Vertical Horizon vibe and Taburete which is a really nice pop-rock tune. I'll be checking out both bands further. Tickled to See Pat Metheney on the charts too.

All of the above tracks are worth a listen, I reckon. I think the two with the most likely cross over potential are Lovebites and Fugi Fabric.

The former have all the attributes, for me, apart from the songwriting, which is close but a little too derivative of European bands like Edenbridge. It's already enjoyable but when they find their own voice, they have the potential to make an even bigger splash than they've made already.
