Blimey. That was a heavy set of songs! Nice to have a little bit of piratical folk-rock from Harpyie as some light relief! :)

Thought the Light The Torch song was quite good and there were some sublime touches on Enslaved track but when they metalled it up, it drifted away from my sort of thing.

Interesting to see Manfred Mann's Earth Band on the chart. I can't find any info about a new release. Is it a live album? Or compilation, maybe?

The Adam at track is original. Taking a nu-metal sound then putting a piano at front and centre is very different. Burnout Syndromes' song was a nice slice of pop-rock. I'll investigate further, I think.

Still haven't decided whether to pick up the new Toto live album.

Going by the above track, on the plus side, the reconstituted line-up look sharp. Steve & Joseph are in fine voice (love both their recent solo records) and everyone looks like their having a lot of fun. However, I'm not sure how many more Toto live albums I need, and as much as I love his singing, if Warren Ham is going to be parping over everything like he is on Rosanna, that would be a real downer.

I'm not talking much about Maneskin on any of these posts but their total domination of the European charts has been a wonder to behold. Who says Eurovision isn't important?!!?

Magnus Uggla's song was top fun too.

Yea, Eurovision can be a big deal but especially if the artist in question already has a career and isn't just a studio invention. Maneskin were already absolutely huge in Italy and ready to break out elsewhere (as I have tried to convey over and over on the forum with scant success :) )

Maneskin have actually had much bigger post-Eurovision success than usual too. The UK Charts Company stated this a few weeks ago:

"I Wanna Be Your Slave has been streamed 7.96 million times, resulting in a Number 7 placing on the latest Official Chart, making Måneskin the first Eurovision act in seven years to enter the Top 10, and the first winners to do so in nine years."

The band has gone on to do much bigger and better (their next UK single went to #5), especially around the rest of the world where they have had multiple singles and albums at the top of the charts.
