I have to confess that I'm struck again by the fact that all the info and music in this thread hasn't generated even a single comment in the past 2 weeks (apart from yours of course) and not much before that either. Maybe time to call it a day here

 

I've never understood why this isn't one of the biggest threads on the forum. I am continually shocked at how anglo-centric and conservative this forum can be.

There's lots that looks of interest to me, over the past couple of weeks but I'm not in a position to listen to it until August 3rd.

I do understand though that you might not want to put in all this work for such a small audience. If you do knock it on the head, I've appreciated all your efforts. You've introduced me to a shed-load of excellent new (to me!) music.

 

Thanks I also find it shocking especially when I see how much activity there is here more generally and just a trailer for the new Peter Jackson Beatles film has resulted in almost 6,000 posts already (along with a million other Beatles related threads) and where an offhand comment about something discussed a million times before can produce 50 pages without a problem.

I originally hoped it would be a convenient way to spur conversation about new music and of course also music which isn't featured here much or at all, but it seems that's not to be here. If anyone has a suggestion for a place better suited to this sort of discussion, I'd appreciate that as well.

I didn't expect this thread to be particularly popular but even so it's been eye-opening. I'll give it some more thought and see what I end up doing but either way, I'm glad to hear you've found a 'shed-load' of excellent new music!

 

Too many people here buy into the rock-is-dead delusion and they are happy to wilfully ignore any evidence to the contrary. Their loss and - sadly - ours too.

This thread will remain a fine resource, though, for anyone stumbling across it, especially if the links remain active.
