Hmmmmmmm, that thread about loooooooooooooong rock tunes makes me nervous - I like my tunes short n' sweet! Howzabout we take the alternate route and go for the short and sweet faves???? Ever hear Big Al Downing's stooopendous RAB classic Down on the Farm? Couple grrrreat breaks, Al pounding the keys like there's no tomorrow, twangy guitars - ahhhh, thatsa nice! Or, The Phantom's megakillsonic classic Love Me, a minnit thrity-two of blazing intensity - woooooooo doggies, it's a burner! Let the under 3 minute set begin!!!!

Don't time it by the modern CD's. It was remixed and the fade elongated..

Bobby Poe and the Poe Kats - Wanda used them in the studio and on the road, too; amazing, considering Big Al Downing was a black rocker in an otherwise white group playing whip-ass-pound rockabilly! :) What's the timing on Let's Have a Party??? It never seems to last long enough...

    Heat Wave 2:45
    In My Lonely Room 2:29
    Dancing in the Steet 2:38
    Nowhere to Run 2:50
Too Many Fish in the Sea 2:27
    I'll Keep Holding On 2:27
My Baby Must Be a Magician 2:33
He Was Really Sayin' Somethin' 2:33
Lonely Lonely Girl Am I 2:11
What Does it Take (To Win Your Love) 2:28
The One That Really Loves You - 2:26
    My Guy 2:47

Actually, of the 115 songs that are on the Ultimate Collections/Best ofs of Mary Wells, Jr. Walker, the Velvelettes, the Marvelettes, and Martha and the Vandellas, only 19 hit the three minute mark...
