I always think of the movie when I think of this album (bloody hilarious movie too), which I don't for AHDN.

Today it's Yesterday. Loved it then, loved it yesterday, love it today.

My Dad played this album all the time when I was very young. I finally cracked basic chord progression on Guitar by nailing a few tracks of this album.
I love the The Night Before.

Have to say "Ticket To Ride", though the title track and "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" are marvelous, as is "I've Just Seen A Face".

I even find some of the lesser material enjoyable here, like "The Night Before", "Another Girl", "Tell Me What You See" and "I Need You". There's a charming, stoned, tossed-off quality to most of the record.

This is a great precursor to the style they would coalesce into on Rubber Soul.

    I didn’t pick I’ve Just Seen a Face because it’s on a Rubber Soul.

For me, it's 'You're Going To Lose That Girl' as it sums up what most of the HELP! album songs are lacking - a strong production, a highly memorable melody, fine lead and harmony singing, interesting chords and a great well recorded groove from the grandmaster himself, Ringo.
We all know about the 'important' songs and they've been discussed to death as I see it, so I like to celebrate those semi-forgotten ones.
Next favorite would be either 'I Need You' or George's other memorable tune 'You Like Me Too Much'.
Though some of these songs are not super angsty or major artistic statements, so what? They cause me to smile - any excuse for that is welcome.

It's Ticket to Ride but I voted for my second favorite It's Only Love because I think it will need the votes!!

It is a great album with just a couple of non-starters. I went for Lose That Girl.

"You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" is my favorite Beatles song. I love the sound and arrangements on this album. It may actually be my most played Beatles album and certainly one of my top two favorites along with The White Album.

Yes, I actually consider it a stoner record. It's a little too fast paced but still.

o_O You mean the crappy one everyone's forgotten? :p

I'd love to do a Past Masters, Vols 1 & 2 polls but on both the winners would be far too clear.

Not necessarily—off the top of my head, I don’t know what songs I would pick right now from either.

Would you agree that the vast majority of people would pick Hey Jude from Vol. 2? And after thinking you're probably right about Vol. 1. I was thinking Day Tripper would be the clear lead, but not with She Loves You, I Wanna Hold Your Hand and I Feel Fine on there. Enough for an interesting poll.

Personally I wouldn’t pick “Hey Jude”, and “Day Tripper” is actually the first cut on Vol 2.

Tough call. SO MANY great songs on this album.

I picked the opener. A signature song, great lyrics and vocal delivery by John.

I'm a little burnt out on Yesterday, and if I were to pick one song to listen to right now it wouldn't be that. But it is the best song on the album, so I voted for it.

You've Got To Hide Your Love Away is one of my favorite songs, Beatles or otherwise. The best track off an album with so many great tunes.
