That looks just about perfect next to your avatar. Did you do that on purpose?

The only other raw Beatles album to me is WTB.

This is not an experience I’ve had during sex.

    Awesome stuff. Thanks for sharing.

    My favourite opening lyrics.

    Ask Me Why
On one summer day in 2011, I decided to listen to every Beatle album in chronological order to get myself acquainted with the band. I started with the Please Please Me album of course, and the first song that absolutely blew me away was Ask Me Why. It was the first song during my listening journey that I had to stop the flow of the YouTube playlist of the songs on the album and listen to it again. It has since remained in my Top 3 favorite Beatle songs usually placing at #1. There was a time I liked Till There Was You better, but this was only a position behind it.

    Please Please Me

followed by the other poll favourites more or less in order of vote totals (although I would rank P. S. I Love You a little higher).

PPM is my favorite Beatles album. Its a wonderful , aural photograph of EXACTLY how the group sounded in 1962 before they became more of a studio concern than a live one.

They never approached the live energy that PPM has on any other album.

It's a blisteringly vigorous debut album, so it is hard to pick out one individual best song. Having said that, my vote goes to 'Please Please Me' as that's the potently assertive single that propelled The Beatles into this album and beyond.

I’ve voted in this type of poll multiple times and I’ve never chosen A Taste Of Honey. So I voted for that song.

I believe he’s talking about Paul’s count-in at the beginning of the first track.

You don’t think With the Beatles does?

Holy hell. Love Me Do has 2 votes???
There are multiple songs with only 1???

No matter how bad I believe a track to be, there always seems to be a many few votes for it, so it’s weird seeing great stuff have so few votes when so many have taken part.

I chose I Saw Her Standing There
I could have chose any of these others:
    Please Please Me
    Twist And Shout
    There's A Place

A vote for any song other than these would be puzzling!

Not even close!!! WTB is a very "Studio" sounding album. PPM is live party.

I voted for "Please Please Me". It's an original, has John, Paul and George singing in a great call-and-response bit, and of course "Gentlemen, you have just made your first number one record".

I'll tell you...the whole album is a joy, but I could live without "A Taste of Honey". And thats probably because I cant accept the fact that they COULD have used "Soldier of Love" instead, but went with "Honey".
