Nowhere Man - but this is a fairly even album, and I almost voted for In My Life. Norwegian Wood was also a close contender.

Here we go. Man, this is a perfectly fine thread, why do you want to turn it into yet another UK-US argument? You have lots of threads to talk about that.

Not to mention the bass-line. That bass-line literally changed the course of my life! It made me spend less time on guitar and made me want to explore the world of bass (first to learn that awesome bass line) and ultimately came to consider myself more of bassist than a guitarist. All thanks to hearing that one bass-line. Pure magic.

You might want to actually look at the threads I've made because while I do a lot of these (maybe because they get a lot of responses?) I also make a ton of other unique topics, and make tons of comments on other peoples stuff. These polls are also on a fair amount of artists, but since I'm going through discography's, there's bound to be a lot by one artist.

Here's 2 pages of 6 listing all of the threads I've made. Music Corner only. And this is when I used this forum once a week instead of multiple times everyday...

I'd argue Tomorrow Never Knows, Love You To, Within You Without You, Helter Skelter and Revolution 9 are most courageous but this is certainly up there.

    On Help!, where it belongs.

    Same here :)

This is a toughie but I've gone with Nowhere Man because the guitar solo and those searing harmonies at the end still always make the hair stand up on my arms :)

I went with Nowhere Man, still so fresh and exciting and sad.
I recently got lucky on a 1973 UK LP of Rubber Soul it's been a long time since I heard the original mix and this copy I got is NM and sounds fabulous.
I defiantly can't argue with people when they say it is their favorite album.

Voted "In My Life" but could have voted "Nowhere Man" or "Norwegian Wood".

And what's with "What Goes On" on one more vote than "The Word"? The former is the worst song while the later is one of the highlights

Agreed! The Word is as hidden gem as Beatles can get imo.

It just struck me that this album has a lot of titles that are commanding a person to do something:

    Drive my Car
    Think For Yourself
    Wait
    Run For Your Life

Still my favorite since first heard on the radio in 1966. After that, norwegian wood and nowhere man.

I actually think Nowhere Man is one of the lesser songs on the album. Sad to see Girl only has 6 votes as well. One of my all time favourite songs.

    'In My Life' for me.
Side 1 or Side 2? My Side 2 is all shiny and won't play in my CD player... :p
Been a while since I played the old record (vinyl) version but I was never enthralled with the side 2 opener. Sorry Ringo fans. After that song though I do believe Side 2 was my fave...
