Joe Bonamassa "Living On The Moon"
Just released today... More from Flying Colors.
When Portnoy years ago started a variety of projects, this is the one I thought I’d like the least. Turns out it’s my favorite.

Hitting the "next" button on an old late '90's club remix of R&B dance music I rarely play while cruising around in my car and landed on this Lisa Stansfield Barry White tune called "Never, Never Gonna Give You Up" and it was as if I stepped into musical nirvana, totally transformed my mood that I couldn't get it out of my head when I went to buy groceries. At first didn't know anything about the singer, the remixer Frankie Knuckles or who wrote the song. I spent most of last night trying to find the history on this song, bought the Lisa Stansfield #1 Remixes CD for $5 that has the 8:40 extended version and then downloaded the single on Qobuz. That's how much I loved this rendition of the song because Barry White's version on YouTube just didn't do it for me. Thank god for Frankie Knuckles for remixing this beautiful song...
For his 78th birthday...
6 String Drag | Never Turn My Back On You Again
"Sundown", Bruce Springsteen
Elvin Bishop—Juke Joint Jump
I want to hear this and buy it. The first two discs were pretty damn good, if you ask me.
Edit: Ugh. This is bad. Hope repeated listenings debunk that, but the first listen is wow, that's bad.
Coffee at 7:30 this morning to this great song. Inspired my day!
“Swords and Knives” - Tears For Fears
If you heard that every day it would be the best song you heard today...
Pete Townshend - Stardom in Action
You Don't Have To Cry - CSN.
Been driving with my wife almost exclusively for the past couple of days due to family business, so radio has been mostly on Kids Place Live on XM (she's a preschool teacher). But they do play some kid-friendly adult music. Today's winner?
Harry Nilsson - "The Puppy Song"
One of the ultimate summer songs - The Barracudas’ “Somewhere Outside.”
I’ll be going to the Paul Simon concert tonight, so I plan on hearing a lot of really good songs today!
No one will care here but this is hands down the best thing I've heard all day, hell, all month. She is not of this earth. Played exactly as Chopin intended: presto a presto. Just as Horowitz played it. Astonishing performance.
