They don't have it here in Canada unfortunately, by now I'm pretty used to paying higher prices for pretty much anything
I will take the risk. And anyway I don't have a copy even with only BG, and where I live for only $ 20 it's impossible to find it ...
I can’t grab the link right now, but the 2017 back to black EU reissue uses the BG mastering. It looks like are a ton of them on discogs for not a lot of money.
I checked earlier and saw 2 Europe versions that have the b2b sticker/stamp AND the BG etching in the deadwax.

Looks like both of those were mastered by Bernie. I’d say they are both pretty much identical to the one I just got from Walmart here in the US. Whether there’s a difference between the ORG BG and the regular BG, well, I’m still trying to find an answer to that. I would assume they were all mastered from the tapes, but again there hasn’t been any confirmation, though it’s very likely.
As far as I know the BG/Pallas (ORG) cut is only on the US version with the 'pressed at Pallas' sticker. Can't recall where I bought mine (Likely Ebay).
All this research, having to buy and keep fingers crossed, hoping to get the pressing you want, it just makes want to buy the cd for 5 bucks. And I’ll make the joke myself: oh well, whatever, nevermind
Yeah, that video is what triggered me to finally get a copy before its too late. I know these won’t be in print much longer and I really don’t think the tapes still exist.
LOL in every thread there's someone claiming 'the tapes burned in the fire'. Where is the proof of any of these claims? There was an article, or a bunch of articles, talking about a fire, talking about some artists' masters being burned. Did they ever come out with a list? I don't recall that, so how can anyone say such and such is burned? I want proof, otherwise I will believe the tapes are just fine in a temp controlled archive and not ashes in a landfill. Yes, for sure, an archive fire is a tragedy. But the extent this plays out on this and many other forums is hyperbole without any real shred of proof.
You're gonna have some trouble with that since they don't even know what was in there, and it's destroyed so we'll never know for sure. Also, the owners won't tell anyone, it degrades their future product. I've read fairly definitive credible reports that Nirvana tapes are lost. I don't know where, but I've read it. Now sure, something could turn up. But if you want a nice triple A Nirvana album, get it now to be safe.
Well then, case closed. Come on, if you're gonna spout it as gospel then at least provide the source. Misinformation spreads like wild-fire round here.
